With MythForce, Beamdog holds the almighty force

MythForce is not the first game to want to imitate the “Saturday morning cartoon” spirit, but it must be recognized that the artists of Beamdog have put their heart into their work, especially with this pastiche of credits that is more real than life. Presented as a roguelite, MythForce is an action-RPG by fantasy in first person view which will debut on April 20 in early access on the Epic Games Store for the equivalent of 30 dollars.

Four heroes will be playable in this first chapter entitled Bastion of the Beastlordbut other episodes will be added to the program before the official release, which should take place in a year, while the development team relies on player feedback.

If we can embark on its colored dungeons in solo, MythForce is however ready for cooperation with up to 4 players, just to take advantage simultaneously of the skills of the knight Victoria, the thief Rico, the mage Maggie and the hunter Hawkins, gathered to overcome the forces of the evil vampire Deadalus.

Let us add in passing that Aspyr Media, which is part of the Embracer group, has just announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire the Beamdog studio. Founded in 2009 by Trent Oster and Cameron Tofer, veterans of BioWare, the Canadian studio has 80 people in its ranks.
