Withings is very proud to announce Body Scan, its new connected scale. It is equipped with four weight sensors and 14 ITO electrodes (indium tin oxide, indium tin oxide) on its surface. With its new sensors, the scale signed Withings promises an even more qualitative weighing monitoring experience with an accuracy of up to 50 grams.

On the design side, the Body Scan scale consists of a high resistance tempered glass surface, incorporating a retractable handle with four electrodes, not to mention a 3.2 “LCD screen. The scale will thus allow measurement of the composition. body which will provide a precise image of the body as a whole: distribution of muscle mass, bone and fat. By performing these three-frequency measurements, the user will now have a detailed view of the extracellular and intracellular water, as well as than his visceral fat.

Best of all, new segmentation body composition technology will allow users to accurately visualize the composition of the major parts of their body independently, namely the trunk, each arm and each leg. This form of analysis will provide a better understanding of the distribution of muscle mass and fat mass for each part of the body.

In addition, the function of detection and monitoring of peripheral neuropathies of the Body Scan scale will allow a home assessment of the activity of the nerves of small diameter in the feet.
A result of low nerve activity is a potential sign of neuropathy.

Finally, at each weigh-in, as was the case with Body Cardio, the new scale will also calculate the heart rate, the detection of atrial fibrillation by ECG and an estimate of the vascular age based on the wave speed of pulse.

However, do not expect to order this new connected scale from Withings immediately. Indeed, the Body Scan scale will be available during the second half of 2022, at a price of 299.95 euros. It will then be available in two colors, namely black and white.
