Witnesses wanted – emergency operation after knife attack in Feldkirch

On Saturday afternoon there was an argument in Feldkirch (Vorarlberg) that escalated completely: a 35-year-old pulled out a knife and stabbed his opponent several times. The victim had to undergo emergency surgery.

As the police report, there was an argument between two 35-year-old men on Feldkirchen’s Wichnergasse at 2:10 p.m. on Saturday. One of the two suddenly attacked his opponent with a knife and stabbed his victim’s upper body several times. The man was seriously injured as a result. After the attack, the perpetrator fled on foot along the castle moat towards the Bärenkreuzung and was finally arrested by the police in the city center. The victim received emergency medical treatment at the Feldkirch State Hospital. The injured man is now out of danger. The motive is currently unclear and is still under investigation.
