Witnesses wanted – Graz: cyclist died after a collision with a car

A 71-year-old cyclist collided with a car on Friday on the busy Plüddemanngasse in Graz. The woman has now succumbed to her injuries in hospital. The police are looking for witnesses to clarify the exact course of the accident.

The accident happened on January 28 at around 9:55 a.m. The driver (63) drove out of town on Plüddemanngasse, in the area of ​​​​the intersection with Waltendorfer Hauptstraße, the car collided with the 71-year-old cyclist. She was thrown to the ground and remained lying on the street. Died after four days in the hospital. The crew of a following Red Cross car carried out the first aid. The 71-year-old was taken to Graz Regional Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The woman died in hospital on Tuesday, police said. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured. He stated that he was blinded by the sun, so he could not give any precise information about the course of the accident.
