After tripping over another traveler’s scooter, on the platform of La Verpillière station, in Isère, a woman fell on the tracks as a train arrived. She was violently rammed and could not be saved.

The driver, meanwhile, was unable to do anything to avoid it.

His death was pronounced on the spot by a doctor. Several witnesses to the scene, very shocked, also had to be taken care of by the emergency services.
