Woman was injured – hit by stone during a climbing tour in Scheffau

Under certain circumstances, this incident could have ended much worse: A rock about 50 centimeters in size fell off a climbing group in Scheffau on Saturday morning and fell on a 32-year-old woman. The injured had to be rescued with rope.

The woman was out and about on the “Zettenkaiser Westgrat” at around 11 am when the stone suddenly came loose without any external influence. This fell on the group and hit the locals on the left ankle. The 32-year-old was rescued by the emergency doctor’s helicopter using rope and flown to the hospital in Kufstein for further treatment.
