Indeed, according to BFM TV, the French Stéphanie Frappart was appointed among the thirteen arbitrators selected to officiate throughout the competition. The list was unveiled by UEFA on Tuesday 19 April. Alongside her, her compatriots Manuela Nicolosi and Élodie Coppola are on the list of assistant referees. 38 years old, Stephanie Frappart is known to have been the first female referee in the French second division (2014) then in men’s league 1 (2019). She was also the first to lead the European Super Cup in August 2019 and then the first to have officiated in the Champions League in December 2020.
