Wonder Woman 1984: The new cinema release is certain

The cinema industry is suffering massively from the corona crisis. While some film studios have postponed their productions until next year, a special superhero wants to intervene already in the summer: The comic book adaptation "Wonder Woman 1984" with Gal Gadot (34, "Justice League") in the title role will be here on August 13, 2020 come to the cinemas, as Warner Bros. Pictures Germany has now officially announced.

What is part two about?

Originally, the sequel to the blockbuster from 2017 should have started on June 4 in this country. At just over two months, the flick, which again came from director Patty Jenkins (48), was moved relatively little compared to other films.

The film takes place several decades after its predecessor, in 1984, and features a bevy of new and well-known actors. Among them are "Game of Thrones" star Pedro Pascal (45) and Kristen Wiig (46) among the newcomers, while Chris Pine (39) is returning like Robin Wright (53).
