World of Goo 2: a sequel to the independent puzzle game finally announced

In 2008, when independent studios were not yet numerous, 2D Boy launched World of Goo, an excellent puzzle game requiring you to build structures with small round creatures to reach the end of the level. Kyle Gabler, one of the two members of 2D Boyhas since founded Tomorrow Corporation with Kyle Gray and Allan Blomquist.

The studio has since released Little Inferno, Human Resource Machine And 7 Billion Humansbut during the ceremony of Game Awards 2023, Tomorrow Corporation revealed its next game, which will be World of Goo 2 ! A game developed in collaboration with 2D BoyRon Carmel is therefore not set aside, which already promises to be the studios’ most ambitious title, with even more Goos.

We quietly revisited World of Goo. How has it evolved in 15 years? What new gameplay possibilities will we discover? What wonderful new creatures, characters and ancient monuments will we encounter? We’re still in full development, but we’re excited to finally share some of what we’ve built with you, in our very first trailer above.

World of Goo 2 is expected in 2024, on as yet unknown platforms. You can find the first part at €12.49 on GOG.com.
