World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, a first pre-launch update already available, with an animated short

The players of World of Warcraft will have to wait until the end of next month to find out Dragonflightthe next extension of the MMORPGs of Blizzard. But as always, the studio introduces new things a little ahead of time via pre-launch updatesand the first has just been released.

This update to prepare for the arrival of Dragonflight introduces a new talent system, an interface overhaul, new race and class combinations, rated solo shuffling, and some additional features. You can find a video guide above, but Blizzard also take the opportunity to reveal legaciesa series of animated shorts focusing on Nozdormu, the Dragon Aspect of Time, whose first episode has just been released. New talent system :

  • Players can explore and customize new talent trees for their class, including the ability to save different selections to suit their playstyle.


Overhauled Heads-Up Display (ATH) and User Interface (UI) :

  • First round of HUD and UI overhaul updates allow for customization of core UI including location and size of action bars, player portraits and more .


New combinations of races and classes :

  • Rogues, Priests, and Mages can now be spawned from all playable races. Other combinations of races and classes will be offered later.


Listed solo brewing :

  • You can now queue for this new 2v2 or 3v3 rated PvP mode. Rated battlegrounds will allow you to get elite PvP rewards.


Additional accessibility features :

  • A range of new features have been added, including interaction keys, gamepad support, the ability to cast spells by pressing and holding a key on the keyboard, and more.
