Summer without a summer vacation? nope! But it really doesn’t have to be a club holiday on Malle. There are also places right on our doorstep that can keep up with the big wide world.

Well, have you ever carefully googled for accommodation for your next summer holiday and fell back on the prices for long-distance travel? Holidays in Germany then become a cheaper option. That’s why we simply create the holiday feeling on our doorstep. After all, Germany can definitely keep up with Hawaii, France and the like. You just have to know where to pitch your tent or park your car.

Rocky Mountains vs. Saxon Switzerland

With its rock formation, the Elbe Sandstone Mountains in Saxon Switzerland are reminiscent of the distant Rocky Mountains in North America. This rock national park, which is the only one in Germany, is a real highlight for hikers.

At Lake Mirow in the country town of Mirow, there are cute boathouses that give you the feeling of being right in Sweden. The lake is part of the Mecklenburg Lake District – a true paradise for nature lovers.

Embedded between steep mountain slopes, the Königssee looks frighteningly similar to the Norwegian fjord landscape. In any case, this place in the Berchtesgadener Land offers a fantastic backdrop – in the truest sense of the word.

The well-known wine region in Lower Franconia, the Mainschleife, is reminiscent of Tuscany with its charming flair. The difference: Instead of Chianti and Montepulciano, Riesling and Silvaner are produced here.

The water of the North Sea is not quite as warm as in the Pacific Ocean, but the sunsets in the community in Schleswig-Holstein are at least as beautiful to look at. Kitesurfers and windsurfers in particular are also happy about the wind and waves here.
