Deutsche Bahn has published its own app for the 9-euro ticket. However, the “little brother” of the DB Navigator has received a lot of criticism in the App Store and on Google Play.

Deutsche Bahn has released an app specifically for the 9-euro ticket, which can be used from June 1st. This allows you to order, pay for and store the ticket individually for the respective month or for three months in advance.

However, there is a lot of criticism on both Google Play and the App Store. Registration is very complex. Payment via PayPal, Google Pay or Apple Pay is not possible. The app only supports SEPA direct debit or credit card as a payment method.
Ticket cannot be integrated later
There is also criticism that a 9-euro ticket that has already been purchased cannot be integrated later – not even if you bought it via the DB Navigator.
Unlike the DB Navigator app, you cannot book any more tickets or plan routes here. This means that the app is probably only useful for people who are perhaps using a digital ticket for the first time and are reluctant to use too many functions.
Caution! A fake DB competition is currently circulating on WhatsApp, which offers a traffic subsidy of 2,000 euros.
