Season 4 represents the last content stage of the Shadowlands expansion on WoW, before the arrival of Dragonflight by the end of the year. Here we reveal the main information, new features and content available in this new season of World of Warcraft.

Shadowlands Season 4 Overview:
- Season 4 will begin on Wednesday, August 3 on European servers.
- The three Shadowlands raids will be available again with a reassessed level (in difficulty and in loot). Each raid will be playable on a rotation, with one raid available per week each week.
- A new Disguise season affix will be present, including the return of old dungeons for the entire season.
- World Bosses will also be improved, in connection with Shadowlands Raids.
- A few classes are getting nerfed, including Demo Destru, Survival Hunter, and Monk DPS. Conversely, Balance Druid, Protection Paladin and Protection Warrior will be buffed.
- No new legendary or conduit level.
- A new season in PvP will also be on the program with an up of items and a reset of Conquest Points
New PvE features of Season 4
Like every season, the PvE aspect will have a lot of content at launch. If Season 4 will be devoid of a new Raid, Blizzard has planned a new system to revive the interest of players a little.
Fateful Shadowlands Raids
Thus, the three raids of the Castle Nathria expansion, the Sanctum of Domination and the Sepulcher of the Founders will all be updated with a higher level of damage and hit points. Each week, one of three raids will be available, allowing guilds to replay each boss in NM, HM or Mythic. In addition, an MM+ affix will be present on the different bosses. Items will also be higher tier compared to Season 3.

The Weekly Chest will take into account the rotation to give players loot related to the raid carried out during the past week. In Season 4, defeating bosses on Heroic or Mythic difficulty will earn you mysterious ancient secret codes (Heroic) or mysterious ancient secret codes (Mythical). Combine 20 secret codes to upgrade a piece of equipment to its Heroic or Mythic version.
New season in Mythic Dungeons: Disguise
As far as MM+ is concerned, the novelties are more important! Indeed, the dungeons available in MM+ will be eight in number with only past instances (apart from Tazavesh).

- Tazavesh: Streets of Wonders (Shadowlands)
- Tazavesh: So’leah’s Scheme (Shadowlands)
- Operation Mechagon: The Scrapyard (Battle for Azeroth)
- Operation Mechagon: Workshop (Battle for Azeroth)
- Return to Karazhan: Down (Legion)
- Return to Karazhan: Summit (Legion)
- Grimrail Depot (Warlords of Draenor)
- Iron Docks (Warlords of Draenor)
Players will therefore have to relearn these different dungeons with a system that should continue on Dragonflight (a mixture of new and old dungeons). As usual, two titles and a recolor of the MM+ mount will be available.
A new Season Affix will also be available: Disguise. This consists of mobs hidden among the instance packs. Once killed, they will give you secondary stats (critical, haste, versatility or mastery) stacking during the whole key.
Details around legendaries and resources
Blizzard wanted to confirm some information regarding items, resources, and keys at the start of the season.
- The cosmic fluxes will be kept, especially since all the bosses of Castle Nathria and the Sanctum of Domination will also give fluxes.
- No new legendaries, legendary level.
- Conduits will once again be maxed out at 278 ilvl.
- Your stock of Valor Points and Conquest Points will be reset. However, there will be no Valor cap and the Conquest cap will be increased.
- If you have items related to the Weekly Chest (the item for the additional Gem for example), these will be refunded for gold coins.
- The loot table of the old dungeons (from WoD, Legion and BfA) will resume that of the time with an upgrade to ilvl.
