The Swiss freeskier proves once again that the X Games suit her. Ragettli fails the Big Air competition.

Freestyle skier Mathilde Gremaud once again impressed at the X Games in Aspen. The 21-year-old Swiss took second place in slopestyle behind Tess Ledeux from France. Third place went to Canadian Megan Oldham. For Gremaud it was the 4th podium finish at the annual event in the Rocky Mountains.

On Friday, Gremaud decided against further attempts in the Big Air, which she has already won twice in Aspen, after two unsuccessful jumps. Best Swiss was Giulia Tanno in fifth place in that competition, also won by Ledeux.

Ragettli’s Big Air competition failed

The Big Air competition was disappointing for Andri Ragettli. The man from Graubünden, who was only reasonably successful in one of six jumps, took 7th place among the eight participants. For Ragettli, after winning the comeback last week in the French Pyrenees, it was only the second competition after tearing his cruciate ligament in his knee in Aspen in March. The high-class competition was won by the American Alex Hall, who grew up in Switzerland.
