What really happened in the house of horror? On April 21, 2011, the bodies of Agnès Dupont de Ligonnès, of her four children (Benoît, Thomas, Arthur, Anne), but also of her two dogs were discovered under the house at 55, boulevard Schuman, in Nantes. They had all been shot in the head a few days earlier. The only suspect, the father of the family Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès, cannot be found. Nine years after this terrible news item, the magazine Society returns to the drama by publishing the first part of a long investigation, in its edition of Thursday, July 23, 2020.
In it, our colleagues retrace the beginning of the run of the one who would have slaughtered his whole family. “How could he disappear and escape the police forces all over the country? Is he dead or alive ? And if he's alive: where is he hiding? " they wonder. "More than an investigation, it's a chase that begins." Inside they find a pack of cigarettes “Three-quarters full in the front left storage compartment”, but also “A butter knife in the one on the right”, and an ashtray full of cigarette ends. "In the back are a green long-sleeved sweater, a blue Marks & Spencer shirt, black boxer shorts, a BlackBerry charger," can we read in the columns of the magazine. But the most intriguing is the “50 centilitre bottle of Toni brand pastis”, “a Leffe capsule” found on the ground or “Half a bottle of local wine from the city of Carcassonne”, present in the vehicle. No doubt that during his run, Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès a "drank a lot". “Maybe to forget, but knows?”, wonders again Society.
