Xavier Naidoo: The singer "irritates" RTL with a new video

The singer Xavier Naidoo (48) is once again in the crossfire of criticism: With a 45-second video that appeared on Monday evening, the singer caused a huge stir. There you can see Naidoo apparently singing a few lines of a previously unpublished song on a webcam, the cryptic text of which is currently being celebrated in right circles. The singer himself has not yet commented on the video. Where it came from, in what context and when it was recorded is also not yet known.

RTL demands "clear answers"

The video literally says: "There is no man far and wide who can still save this country. The main thing is that it is politically correct, even if you die of it." Naidoo continues to describe what happens if a murder occurs almost every day, in which the guest steals a life from the host. Nobody is allowed to torture his people. "Let's finish it, and now. You're lost," the singer ends his contribution.

According to Tweet, RTL showed up "irritated" by the video of his current "DSDS" judge. Expect "clear answers" from Naidoo. The broadcaster distances itself from "all forms of racism". Naidoo has caused confusion in the past with questionable statements. He has long been said to be close to Reich citizens and conspiracy theorists on the right.

Xavier Naidoo has been a jury member on the RTL casting show "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" since 2019. Even when this decision was announced, the broadcaster had to put up with some criticism. In 2015 the NDR announced that Naidoo should appear for Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. After violent headwinds from the media and numerous NDR employees, this decision was revised.
