Xbox Game Pass: Limited demos coming soon, like for the new PlayStation Plus?

The new PlayStation Plus has often been compared to the Xbox Game Pass, even if it seeks to differentiate itself with another approach concerning first party games, while setting up levels that also allow access to a large retro catalog. One of the arguments of this new service also concerns the establishment of limited demos, which allow you to play a selection of titles for 2 to 5 hours while being able to keep your progress. And now it seems to be the turn of Microsoft to draw inspiration from the competition for its Xbox Game Pass.

When competition is good

At least that’s what the insider reports. Tom Hendersonwho already got the scoop on Kojima’s new horror game yesterday, Overdose. In a new article published on Exputer, it states that Microsoft could make an announcement tomorrow (June 9) about the upcoming implementation of demos similar to those offered by PlayStation Pluswhich would be available to all Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

Officially, this feature would aim to highlight independent productions, with compensation for the studios and developers who participate in the initiative. We do not yet know how, but the focus therefore seems to be on independents, rather on AAA as at Sony.

Henderson indicates that this announcement will be followed by other small news on June 9, such as the renewal of the partnership with Samsung, allowing you to stream Xbox games on the brand’s Smart TVs via Cloud Gaming. We will be able to verify the veracity of all this very quickly.
