Xbox Keystone: the boss of the brand shows the box for the Game Pass

The head of Microsoft’s video game division seems to be a fan of secretiveness of all kinds during his public outings. He recently split from what appears to be a new easter eggs regarding his service cloud gaming.

A timid first outing

It’s in a photo celebrating the game’s 25th anniversary fallout, published on October 10, 2022 on the social network Twitter, that some fans of the brand have noticed a rather peculiar object. Hidden at the top of a shelf, a small white box made the most curious wink, who think that it could be the famous Keystone project that Xbox would launch in the near future.

This box similar to a mini Xbox Series X, which until now has been associated with an HDMI key, could therefore take the form of a device allowing anyone to directly access the service without having to own anything else. It would also give the possibility of accessing the Xbox Game Pass catalog of games via an interface, but also other applications such as Netflix.

A project still in development at Xbox

Microsoft still seems to be working on this project, which is confirmed by The Verge through its sources. And if the probability that it is indeed the expected product seems low to you, know that the official Xbox account has indulged in a rather equivocal comment:

No formalization or release date has yet been advanced, but it will be interesting to observe what this device will be capable of if it were to come out of the boxes.

The manager had already left products lying around in his interventions in the past, for example revealing a piece of Xbox Series X two months before its marketing… Could Keystone’s arrival be imminent? Patience and length of time…
