XDefiant: name change, new factions outside of Tom Clancy and test sessions open to all for the free-to-play FPS

Ubisoft also wants to have its hit competitive arena shooter. He unveiled last summer Tom Clancy’s XDefianta FPS 6v6 in a fast-paced arena with “intense shootouts, custom gear and specialized factions”. We should indeed embody the wolves of Ghost Recon serving as Defenderthe Outcasts and the Cleaners of The Division serving asAttacker or of Healerand Echelon of Splinter Cell for support and information gathering.

We haven’t heard from the project since the end of its closed beta, but Ubisoft did not forget it. He even worked and changed the game, as he reveals this week. Thereby, Tom Clancy’s XDefiant will be released under the simpler name of XDefiant (as many already nicknamed him for ease), especially because it will now also feature “factions inspired by games coming out of the Tom Clancy universe”. The logo has therefore been updated in passing. Characters fromAssassin’s Creed, far cry or even the Rabbids will they energize this experience?

Still, the latest version of the title will soon be playable by a chosen few. As for Skull & Bones, Ubisoft invite everyone to enroll in the program Insider Sessions XDefiantin order to test the game in preview and give feedback to the developers, obviously respecting a confidentiality agreement.

Dear XDefiant Players,

We are delighted to welcome you to our XDefiant Insider Sessions. During these play sessions, players will be able to compete and play alongside the development team to shine a light on the new features present in the game.
