Those who waited impatiently The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 unfortunately have to wait a few more months. Fortunately, many other games are inspired by the Nintendo license, like the recent Tunic, for example. But another title with the same inspirations should arrive soon and could also keep you busy for a while.
Publisher Assemble Entertainment recently released a gameplay video of XEL, on their official YouTube channel. Thus, players can find out about the new license offered and developed by the Tiny Roar studio. This is an opportunity to meet some of the characters from this particular world and get a good insight into the game mechanics.
After a few minutes of viewing, we can, indeed, very quickly realize that XEL has everything a Zelda-like usually offers : riddles and puzzles to solve, exploration phases in certain levels, fights, etc. All with a charming artistic direction, in 2D. On the other hand, the software adopts a much more science-fiction aspect. It is categorized as an action-adventure game.
For the moment, XEL does not have a precise release date. As soon as the development studio and the publisher of the title communicate on this subject, we will, of course, keep you informed. In contrast, we know it should make itself available during this summer on PC and Nintendo Switch. Ports to Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS4 and PS5 are planned for later in 2022.
