The Xiaomi 12 Lite has finally been officially launched. After the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro, the mid-range version was already sorely missed. Now all the details are known and you can strike soon. The price is lower than initially feared.
Xiaomi 12 Lite: Solid middle class
Many have been waiting for this smartphone. The Xiaomi 11 Lite has enjoyed great popularity and now the successor is official. With a slight delay, the Xiaomi 12 Lite was officially presented – at least almost officially. Basically everything is known and Xiaomi is already advertising it on social networks, but you can’t buy it yet.
That’s why prices came up. According to NextPit’s test the Xiaomi 12 Lite costs from 399 euros. You get the version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. For 8 GB more RAM you have to pay 449 euros. The top model actually costs 499 euros, but then there is 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. Since you cannot expand the internal memory, you should think carefully about which version you want to buy.
But what do you get for the price? A solid smartphone with no big surprises. The 6.55-inch AMOLED display has a Full HD+ resolution, but now supports 120 Hz and should display content even more smoothly. There is also the Snapdragon 778G, which is standard in the middle class. The battery is actually a bit small at 4,300 mAh, but can be charged quickly with 67 watts. Otherwise there is 108 MP camera and an ultra-wide angle with 8 MP. A telephoto lens is missing, but Xiaomi has installed a macro sensor. Visually, the Xiaomi cell phone is based on the top models.

Xiaomi 12 Lite vs Samsung Galaxy A53
The Xiaomi 12 Lite should have a similar performance as the Samsung Galaxy A53 (test). The battery is smaller, but can be charged faster. We’ll have to wait for the first comparisons with the image quality of the cameras. Here, however, the differences should probably not be large. The Samsung phone is waterproof and comes with a five-year update guarantee. Xiaomi doesn’t have either. Since the Samsung Galaxy A53 is now cheaper (see Amazon), the Xiaomi 12 Lite will not have it so easy.
