The selection of Xiaomi smartphones keeps growing. Especially in the middle class, many models are very similar. With the Xiaomi 12 Lite, a smartphone that many have been waiting for a long time will soon be coming onto the market. But now it turns out that the cell phone is getting pretty expensive.
Xiaomi 12 Lite listed for 500 euros
Xiaomi Germany has already announced on Twitter that the Xiaomi 12 Lite will be presented soon. However, many details of the new mid-range smartphone have been leaked in advance, so we basically already know what to expect. Ultimately, it will be a Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G with a small battery and a different design. But while the Redmi smartphone costs 400 euros, the Xiaomi 12 Lite should cost 500 euros. But as mentioned above, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G is much cheaper. And to be honest, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G is actually just a more expensive version of the Poco X4 Pro 5G, which costs only 300 euros (view at Amazon). The latter is not only the cheapest, but also has the largest battery.

Xiaomi 12 Lite more expensive than Samsung Galaxy A53
If the prices of just under 500 euros for the Xiaomi 12 Lite are really confirmed, the smartphone would even be more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy A53 (test), which came onto the market for 449 euros. Meanwhile, the Samsung cell phone costs only 350 euros (see Amazon). With this price, Xiaomi will have a very hard time surviving on the market with the 12 Lite.
