In just under a week, Xiaomi will put an end to the secrecy surrounding its next flagships. The 12S range will be presented on July 4 in China and will be the first (of a long series?) to benefit from Leica’s know-how in terms of photography.
As the leaks became more precise, we suspected that Xiaomi was about to announce its new smartphones for the second half of 2022. The Chinese firm has just revealed the date of their presentation: it will therefore be for July 4.
As usual, it is on the Chinese social network Weibo that the company has chosen to make its announcement. The first image published by the brand, revealing a slight preview of the photo module, confirms that the capture of images will be in the spotlight. And we notice that the Leica logo comes to point the tip of his nose on the poster. Additional confirmation – if needed – that the German manufacturer, Xiaomi’s newest partner, will indeed be there.
The second image shows three smartphones. We can easily imagine that we are facing the new models that will be unveiled at the conference, most likely the Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro and 12S Ultra. But it could just as well be one or two models in various colors. Due to the angle adopted by the visual, it is difficult to determine whether one of the smartphones is smaller or larger than another.
Needless to say, the new batch of smartphones signed Xiaomi is eagerly awaited. Leaked information about them is scant, and the most interesting — the photo — has yet to be revealed by the leakers. The suspense is therefore intense, but there are only a few days left before the announcement. We bet that the indiscretions will be more numerous by D-Day.
