Xiaomi 13T Pro for free: Cell phone effectively free with tariff at Media Markt

If you buy a cell phone with a contract, you will almost always get it cheaper than buying both separately. At Media Markt you can get the Xiaomi 13T Pro with 1 TB not only cheaper, but effectively free of charge. As if that wasn’t enough, you’ll pay less overall than if you took out the O2 Mobile M tariff without a cell phone.

The smartphone: Xiaomi 13T Pro

The new top smartphone from Xiaomi was released just under two weeks ago, on September 28, 2023. The variant on offer is the Xiaomi 13T Pro with a huge one terabyte of main memory. At Media Markt you can choose between the colors Alpine Blue, Meadow Green and Black, although certain colors may soon be sold out.

We particularly liked the 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 2,712 x 1,220 pixels and 144 Hertz refresh rate in the test. The professional rear camera with Leica lens is also very good. The cell phone is also dust and water protected thanks to IP68 certification and supports the latest cellular standard with 5G.

With the O2 Mobile M Promo you have 25 gigabytes of data volume in the O2 network with up to 300 megabits per second via 5G or LTE. In addition, the data volume increases by five gigabytes every year. Allnet and SMS flat rates as well as EU roaming are of course included.

The monthly costs are 29.99 euros. There is a one-off device price and a connection price totaling 109.98 euros. But you can secure a 100 euro switching bonus via O2. This brings you to a total price of 729.74 euros with a minimum contract term of 24 months.

The tariff without a cell phone would normally cost a total of 831.75 euros over two years. In effect, you pay less for the offer than you would just for the tariff, and you get the Xiaomi 13T Pro 1 GB on top.

The Xiaomi 13T Pro alone currently costs 834 euros at best with one terabyte. However, including the O2 Mobile M Promo, you only pay a total of 729.74 euros over 24 months at Media Markt. Compared to the sum of the individual prices of 1,665.75 euros, you save 936.01 euros.
