Xiaomi attacks the connected ring market with its Black Shark Ring

Following the officialization of the Galaxy Ring by Samsung, the market for connected rings is now starting to become more democratic. Soberly named Black Shark Ring, this iteration benefits from a thickness of 2.2 mm and is available in two colors: silver and half black/half red. We then notice the presence of a thin black line crossing the center of the ring, widening at a point to provide tactile capabilities; as well as an LED, the usefulness of which has not yet been shared by the brand.

In terms of functionality, this new device has everything you need to monitor your physical activity throughout the day: heart rate sensor, blood oxygen level and temperature. Xiaomi then shares that its Black Shark Ring can last for 180 days thanks to its charging case.

For your information, Newsgen Medicals recently revealed a ring that closely resembles the Black Shark Ring. It also has an LED, used in turn to inform the owner of an upcoming event or a hydration reminder.

For the moment, the Black Shark Ring is sold in China at a price of 599 yuan, or approximately 78 euros excluding taxes. Just like the brand’s first connected watch with ChatGPT, no international release date has yet been shared.
