Xiaomi could remove the charger in the box from its Redmi smartphones

After having stopped providing the charger in the box of its flagships, Xiaomi could well do the same with its range of Redmi smartphones. In any case, this is what the Redmi Note 10 SE product page on the manufacturer’s website suggests, which does not indicate any charger in the accessories supplied with the phone.

The world had a good laugh when, after having made fun of Apple for removing the charger from the box of its iPhones, Xiaomi finally did the same for its Mi 11. If users had a hard time swallowing this trend at the beginning of the decade – some still have it across the throat – it is now commonplace to be satisfied with our old charger when buying a new smartphone from one of the giants of the sector.

However, this is less the case for entry-level or mid-range smartphones. Samsung has certainly recently made the same decision for its latest Galaxy A to date, the same for Realme and its Narzo 50A Prime, but the thing is still relatively rare. But that could soon change, according to Xiaomi’s website. Indeed, the product page of the Redmi Note 10 SE leaves a convincing clue on this question.

Will Xiaomi decide to remove the chargers from the boxes of Redmi smartphones?

In the section dedicated to the accessories supplied with the smartphone, the charger is conspicuous by its absence. We find a USB-C cable, a protective shell, the user manual, in short, all the usual additions, but no charger on the horizon. At first glance, therefore, everything seems to indicate that the smartphone will be delivered without the latter, like its big high-end brothers.

That being said, note that the other devices on the site all have a charger in the Accessories section. It is therefore not impossible that its absence for the Redmi Note 10 SE is only due to an error. If there is a withdrawal, it remains to be seen how the public will receive the news. While some argue the price paid for high-end models, others might feel that a separate charger is too expensive for mid-range users.
