How the pricing table works

Let’s start with the cheapest of the bunch, the Dreame T10, which can be negotiated for around €160 and which is therefore intended more for first-time buyers wishing to try their hand at the joys of the stick vacuum cleaner without taking too many financial risks. . For this price, here is a rather simple model but which still includes some practical features such as three suction powers or the suction method selector. You can choose between fractional or continuous suction. In the first case, you have to keep the trigger pressed to inhale. This method prolongs the autonomy of the T10 since the battery is no longer used as soon as you let go of the handle to move a piece of furniture or a trinket, but it forces you to tense your wrist, which can be tiring in the long run. Continuous suction is more comfortable, but you will have to remember to turn off the device if you are interrupted by another task, even minimal.

Despite its contained price, the T10 is generously supplied with accessories.

Very bare, it does not necessarily help the user to plan his cleaning session since autonomy is summarily symbolized by three diodes which go out as and when used. It is therefore better to be sure to have recharged it before embarking on the maintenance of your house.

Good point, the manufacturer delivers many accessories with the T10. The long nozzle and the textile brush are essential, but there is also a motorized mini-brush, practical for cleaning sofas and armchairs.

During its test, the T10 achieved excellent results on all the surfaces we presented to it: hard floors, thin carpets, high-pile carpets. In addition, once the dust has been sucked up, it is perfectly directed into the collector thanks to the multicyclonic filtration system before being confined there; there is therefore no risk of it escaping and returning to the house. But above all, the filters will not be saturated too quickly, which would have the effect of reducing the suction capacity. Even if that were the case, the T10 is easily disassembled to clean them before reassembling it without more difficulty.

Finally, only the autonomy will have disappointed us since it is not possible to use it for more than 25 min 30 s in normal mode and 8 min 15 s in turbo mode. It is possible to obtain one (or more) additional battery(ies), since it is removable and can be easily removed to replace it if necessary. Last but not leastthe storage wall station (essential for a stick vacuum cleaner like this one) is also used for charging thanks to its electrical connectors.

How the pricing table works

The untrained eye can easily confuse the T10 and the G10 due to a very similar color code. They also share multicyclonic filtration, as well as the system of choice between suction methods (continuous or fractional). However, the G10 is a little more advanced, which explains its slightly saltier price: it is available for 230 €. The simple power selection slider of the T10 gives way to a beautiful color screen. This functionality is not only aesthetic, since it allows to monitor the autonomy in a precise way thanks to a circle which goes around the display and which gradually goes out as the battery is empty. The set of accessories provided does not have to be ashamed of that of the T10, and we find more or less the same elements. The G10 nevertheless benefits from a mop to be attached magnetically behind the suction head. Let’s face it, this one won’t work miracles on stubborn stains.

The Xiaomi G10 in action.

Just like the T10, the G10 also displays excellent performance on all types of soil and is maintained without more difficulty. Multi-cyclone filtration is equally effective at directing dust into the bin and it does not come out once introduced.

The wall bracket supplied with the G10 is used to store it but also to recharge its batteries. Note that it can operate for 32 minutes in normal mode and 12 min 40 s in boost mode.

The differences between the two stick vacuum cleaners are therefore very small. It’s up to you to see if the screen and the useless mop justify the €70 that separates the price of the T10 and the G10.

How the pricing table works

For the most tech-savvy among us and those with no budget constraints, the Dreame T30 may be a wise choice. You can afford it for 400 € but some merchants sometimes lower its price below the 350 € mark. It is the most advanced of our selection and its screen displays the remaining battery life in minutes and seconds, which is extremely practical. But that’s not all: thanks to a particle counter, the T30 tells the user if the area he is vacuuming is immaculate. This information is given in the form of curves, which are quite easy to interpret, which is not always the case. We remember, for example, the Dyson V15 and its numbers of aspirated particles that are not very telling. The particle counter is also used to automatically modulate the suction power; when fewer and fewer dust grains are vacuumed, the power drops so that the autonomy increases. Of course, it is also possible to choose the suction level manually.

The T30 also benefits from the change in suction method and its most complete set of accessories (soft brush for textiles, flat brush, motorized minibrush, angled tube) is enhanced with a long nozzle with diode, which allows therefore to illuminate the darkest corners, which can sometimes hold some surprises.

A bit of a nightclub...

A bit of a nightclub…

Like the T10 and the G10, it shines with its performance regardless of the type of ground on which it passes. Its maintenance does not require great effort, since its multicyclonic filtration (also) shows no sign of weakness in separating dust from the air. Dismantling the assembly and putting it back together is a breeze.

With 35 min 30 s of autonomy in normal mode, the T30 is the most enduring of our trio, certainly for three short minutes. In boost mode, it runs out of steam after 12 min 30 s. It also houses a removable battery that can be changed on the fly and a storage base equipped with connectors for charging.

Finally, which one to choose?

The performances recorded on these three lab references are almost identical. Technically, the Dreame T30 has the most points. It is certainly better equipped than its rivals, thanks to its screen and particle counter, and manages to provide excellent suction performance on all surfaces. It is also a little more autonomous and quieter than its competitors. But insofar as all this data is played in a pocket handkerchief, it is the Xiaomi G10 which has the best quality / price ratio in our comparison.
