From our point of view, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is one of the best Android tablets, almost a year after its release, and now Xiaomi has significantly upgraded it again. Because the manufacturer is finally starting to distribute the update to Android 12.
This will initially be distributed to selected fans as a “stable beta” version. If they no longer discover any major errors, Xiaomi should expand the rollout to all devices, reports Gizmochina.
With the update, you can now also enjoy the many new features of Android 12 – such as the Material You theme. You can see the most important changes of the new Google OS again in the following video.
Of course you don’t get pure Android, but the system is covered with the in-house user interface MIUI. Xiaomi had already updated this to MIUI 13 for the Pad 5 in February. We assume that the tablet will also receive an update to MIUI 14 and Android 13.
