In 2022, Xiaomi attacked the mini-PC market with an interesting product: a computer that fits in the hand with full connectivity and an affordable price. Rebelote in 2023 with its refresh.

The Mini-PC from Xiaomi remains similar to the previous one, appearing in the form of a black box which fits in the hand. It is 0.4 liters and 445 grams. But it’s what’s inside that interests us today.

The Xiaomi Mini-PC is the ideal solution for office automation

This 2023 version is equipped with an Intel Core i5-1340P processor instead of an Intel Core i5-1240P from the 2022 model, a slightly more powerful CPU. Inside the case we also find 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. We won’t run Baldur’s Gate 3 in ultra on it, but this will be sufficient for office use or Internet browsing.

It is on the connectivity side that the Xiaomi PC is interesting, since it offers two Thunderbolt 4 ports, three USB 3.2 Type-A ports, a USB 2.0 Type A port, an HDMI 2.1 port, an Ethernet port as well as a 3.5 mm jack port. In short, enough to connect all your equipment without worrying about buying an additional adapter. Xiaomi’s Mini-PC version 2023 is already available for sale on the MinixPC website. It is priced at 661 dollars, or 625 euros. An attractive price for a product that is just as interesting.

This type of product is popular at a time when teleworking is king and consumers are looking for inexpensive and practical solutions. A few months ago, Intel, the market leader, announced the end of its NUC activity, without abandoning support from other manufacturers. In fact, manufacturers like Xiaomi now have a real opportunity to seduce the crowds and tickle the segment’s historic figures like Zotac.
