Xiaomi took advantage of the launch of the Xiaomi 12 to unveil its new high-end connected watch, the Xiaomi Watch S1.

This Tuesday, on the occasion of the presentation of its new Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro, the Chinese manufacturer presented, as expected, its new connected watch: the Xiaomi Watch S1.
While the manufacturer had already provided some information about it, in particular by revealing in part its design or its materials, the presentation of this Tuesday allows to know more about this new striking style to say the least elegant. It must be said that the Xiaomi Watch S1 strongly plays the design card with a screen protected by sapphire crystal, a stainless steel case and a calfskin or silicone strap. Still concerning the design, the smartwatch benefits from a round screen as well as two buttons available on the right side to navigate in the interface in addition to the touch screen. The watch is also 5 ATM certified, which guarantees protection against immersion, without however allowing diving with it.
For the Watch S1 system, Xiaomi will adopt the new MIUI interface for connected watches, based on the same MIUI 13 interface as for smartphones. This system has the advantage of supporting third-party applications that can be downloaded from Xiaomi’s store in China. NFC is also available for contactless payment.
Regarding the screen, Xiaomi has integrated a 1.43 inch diagonal round panel, 466 x 466 pixels on the side and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. It is an Amoled screen with a fairly standard pixel density. of 326 pixels per inch.
Autonomy of almost two weeks
Xiaomi also promises a particularly long autonomy since its Watch S1 can, according to the manufacturer, be used for 12 days in conventional use, and up to 24 days with the energy saving mode thanks to the 470 mAh battery. No Qi wireless charging on the other hand, it will necessarily go through the supplied magnetic charger.

Regarding health monitoring, Watch S1 is able to analyze up to 117 different sports. It also benefits from geolocation via GPS, Galileo, Glonass or Beidou thanks to an integrated chip. The watch can also analyze phases of sleep, heart rate or oxygen saturation in the blood.
The Xiaomi Watch S1 has so far only been announced for China. It will be available in five variants: two with a black or white silicone strap and three with a brown, black or blue leather strap. The models with silicone strap will be offered at 1099 yuan (152 euros) while the knockers with leather strap are displayed at 166 euros. For the time being, no marketing has been announced for France.
