It’s official, XPeng’s P5 model, a sedan 100% electric
opens for booking in four European countries.

After its G9 SUV, XPeng intends to continue its establishment on the Old Continent, but not yet in France.

XPeng continues its development in Europe with the P5 model

If the P5 is not (yet) in the top 10 best-selling electric cars in China, the rise of the firm XPeng is meteoric. And good news for those who follow its evolution, since the P5 electric sedan will arrive in four European countries. Thus, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands and Sweden benefit not only from an opening to order the P5, but also from potential road tests to come from April 2022.

More so, XPeng opens a store in Westfield Mall Mall of the Netherlands » located in Leidschendam (Netherlands), not far from The Hague and Rotterdam, and is continuing to establish itself by now offering its own brand in Europe. One can notably observe there, in addition to the P5, the prototype of flying car of XPeng, baptized X2.

On the other hand, if two other stores are in the boxes in the Netherlands, there is no trace of the potential arrival of an XPeng store in France. The price of the P5 model, equivalent to amounts between 24,875 dollars and 35,760 dollars depending on the options in China, could motivate more than one to make the trip to the land of Tulips. However, the European prices have not yet been communicated by the firm.

A potential competitor to the Tesla Model 3

If these prices are confirmed, the P5 could be a serious alternative to the Tesla Model 3 in particular. With a 66 kW battery for a WLTP range of 465 km, this five-seater sedan has something to please. A panoramic sunroof, a large 465 L trunk supplemented by a 70 L under-trunk and 26 other storage compartments fitted into the vehicle, or the “Xfreebreath” interior air regeneration technology are notably on the menu.

The technology is not left behind since the P5 is equipped with the Xmart OS in-house operating system, a capacity for updating the vehicle’s software remotely “over the air” (OTA) as well as the version 2.5 of the XPeng driving assistance functionality, the XPILOT. The pilot also has a dashboard in the form of a 12.3-inch LCD screen, while a large 15.6-inch full HD central screen is intended to accommodate many applications such as a GPS for example. . A sufficient pedigree to arouse enthusiasm in France?
