How the pricing table works

Yale, the manufacturer of connected objects dedicated to home security, recently announced that its Linus lock now integrates the Homey environment. This integrated hub allows users to remotely control and automate their connected devices. If brands like Philips Hue, Fibaro, tado°, Sonos or Somfy were already compatible with the hub, it is now Yale’s turn. Users will therefore be able to find all their home automation on a single application: that of Homey.

The connected lock can already be controlled remotely by Bluetooth only or by Bluetooth and Wi-Fi thanks to the manufacturer’s connection bridge, the Connect Bridge Wi-Fi. However, by making the lock compatible with Homey (always in the presence of the connection bridge ), Yale offers users the possibility to program several actions between objects. And the user does not have to worry about the origin of the objects, they all interact with each other, regardless of their original manufacturer.

In the presence of a video doorbell, for example, the user can decide to open the lock by observing who is ringing the doorbell. Better, his Somfy shutters can close and his Philips Hue lighting turn on when he comes home from work. Fancy a bit of music? Sonos speakers can start playing once the door is opened. The user can also program the opening and closing of the lock at fixed times or operate it remotely; which can be very useful if you lose or forget your keys.

How the pricing table works

To go further, Yale and Homey provide virtual keys to let certain people in. In our absence, this feature allows, for example, to let in the nanny or the neighbor who comes to feed our pet.

@Yale

The application provides the activity history of the lock. Finally, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant will be able to open and close the door if the user asks them.

Owners of a Linus lock will be able to benefit from this partnership once the device has been updated.
