“Yellowstone” actor migrates to “1883” spin-off “Lawmen – Bass Reeves” – three other actors confirmed

• The 1883 spin-off Lawmen: Bass Reeves borrows from the cast of parent series Yellowstone and hires Mo Brings Plenty for a new role.
• Instead of Mo, the actor now plays a role called Minco Dodge.
• But he’s not the only new cast addition to the series.

“Yellowstone” ends with Season 5, but some cast members are lucky enough to find a new place in the various spin-offs of the “Yellowstone” universe. Mo Brings Plenty has now been confirmed to reprise his role in Lawmen: Bass Reeves, the spin-off of Yellowstone’s 1883.

But according to the US magazine Deadline, several other actors and actresses were confirmed with him. Dale Dickey (“A Love Song”), Margot Bingham (“The Walking Dead”) and Tosin Morohunfola (“Run the World”). Dickey plays the widow Dolliver, a feisty woman with a wealth of life experience. Bingham takes on the role of Sara Jumper, a Black Seminole Native to whom Bass owes a debt of gratitude.

Mo Brings Plenty portrays Minco Dodge, a Choctaw Indian and a friend of Bass Reeves. Morohunfola’s role is that of Jackson “Jackrabbit” Cole, a former Union soldier-turned-prisoner who now travels with Bass Reeves. It has long been known that David Oyelowo (“Silo”) will take over the lead role from Bass Reeves.

“Bass Reeves” is currently being filmed in Texas and focuses on the life of the legendary lawman of the same name. He is considered one of the greatest heroes in American history and, as a Federal Peace Officer, was involved in the reconstruction of the Indian Territory. He arrested over 3000 dangerous criminals without ever getting hurt himself.
