The donor countries, meeting in Geneva on Monday February 27, pledged $1.2 billion in aid to help the people of Yemen, two-thirds of whom depend on humanitarian aid that the UN wants to see rise to more than of 4 billion for 2023.
“We had 31 pledges today and they total $1.2 billionsaid Martin Griffiths, who manages emergencies at the UN, and added:if we could reach 2 billion by this weekend that would be great“.
