More and more Windows 11 users are taking to social media to express their dissatisfaction with how the operating system works. Specifically, they claim that their SSDs’ disk access times have degraded.
The latest Windows 11 updates would have greatly degraded the performance of some SSDs. For some systems, the loss in disk speed, both read and write, would be on the order of 85%, from 7000 to 1000 MB/s, in the most extreme cases.
According to Windows Latest, not all PCs are affected by this SSD performance issue in Windows 11. To avoid these problems, the only solution seems to be to uninstall faulty updates, which is strongly discouraged, since it will also deprive your PC of the latest security patches.
