And that’s how it works:
You can’t actually shift the gearbox manually, but Koenigsegg has technically set everything up so that you have the feeling 1:1 that you are operating it manually. There’s a clutch pedal, as well as a shifter tucked into an open six-speed gate. You have to use the clutch and shift gears normally in manual mode, and you can also stall the engine if you’re clumsy. There’s just no direct link between the shifter and the gearbox because everything is transmitted electronically. Supposedly you shouldn’t notice any difference to a real manual gearbox. And as usual, you can’t shift into a gear that’s too low either, this is prevented depending on the engine speed.
