The British brand remains at the forefront of its sector and once again impresses with the latest updates to its flagship products.

Robot and cordless vacuum cleaners, a floor cleaning tool and a new air purifier… there’s something for everyone, but maybe not for every budget.

A robot vacuum that thoroughly cleans edges

Dyson arrived after everyone else in this segment with its 360 Eye, which immediately imposed itself with its impressive performance. Its third version, the 360 Vis Nav, raises the bar even higher, with new options that should appeal to aficionados.

Still equipped with a fish-eye camera, the device now has eight LED diodes, which allows it to work better in low light, but also under furniture. It is also equipped with a small arm that deploys to the side when it runs along the walls, which allows it to better pick up dirt by redirecting the suction.

With 50 minutes of continuous run time and other features such as the ability to map dust, the 360 Vis Nav is sure to impress. Just like its price, which should exceed the 1,000 euros of the previous model. Already offered at 2,399 dollars in Australia, expect to pay between 1,399 and 1,499 euros in our region. Definitive answer when released in September 2023.

Can vacuum cleaners still be improved? For Dyson, the answer is obviously yes.

The company presents a newcomer to its range of vacuum cleaners: the Gen5detect. Equipped with its fifth generation engine, the Hyperdynium, the device should be even more efficient, and offer 70 minutes of continuous operation. It is also equipped with a new lighting system at its cleaning head, guaranteeing increased luminosity.

The Gen5detect is already available at a price of 999 euros.

In the process, Dyson entered the wet cleaning market with the Submarine. Interchangeable module fitted to its V15 Detect vacuum cleaners, it has two tanks, one for clean or soapy water, the other for dirty water. Unlike some carpet cleaners, which suck up water and dirt, the device uses a kind of squeegee to extract the used water, which makes it usable only on hard floors.

For the moment, the company does not seem to market the module alone, and it will be necessary to buy a complete vacuum cleaner to try it. At an unknown price, the V15 detect Submarine will be available from September 2023.

An astromech droid or an air purifier?

With the release of the Zone, its half-helmet half-air purifier hybrid device, Dyson reminded us that it doesn’t just make vacuum cleaners. The company has built an excellent reputation in the field of bladeless fans and air treatment. In this last segment, it is the Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde which should equip the chic medical practices of the 5e arrondissement of Paris from September.

In addition to its extended name and its rather remarkable aesthetics, it should be able to treat a space of approximately 100 m2, thanks to a HEPA H13 filter intended to eliminate nitrogen dioxide, formaldehyde and all particles of at least 0.3 micrometer. All in relative silence, since the manufacturer announces a sound level for use of 56 decibels thanks to the use of ANC technology, already present in many headphones.

Added to this is the ability to access the data collected by the device from a smartphone application, as well as automatic or manual activation of the device when needed. If its price is not yet known, its release is also scheduled for September 2023.
