While season 7 of “Young Sheldon” has not yet been broadcast, the American channel CBS has just announced that it will be the last. The adventures of Sheldon Cooper and his family are about to come to an end.
End clap for Young Sheldon… The spin-off of The Big Bang Theory, which focuses on the youth of Sheldon Cooper, a young prodigy gifted with unparalleled intelligence for science and mathematics, will soon come to an end .
CBS has indeed announced that the sitcom will end at the end of its 7th season, which will begin broadcasting on February 15 in the United States. It is on May 16, 2024 that the last episode of an exceptional length of one hour will be offered on CBS.
This news is not a surprise since this new season is the last of the renewal for three additional seasons which took place in 2021. And if CBS would surely have liked to offer its flagship sitcom new bursts of episodes, many signs left predicting that season 7 would be the last. Young Sheldon’s story indeed comes to a natural end, with events beginning to catch up with those recounted in the parent series.

The finale of Young Sheldon therefore puts an end to the journey of the character of Sheldon Cooper, after 14 years of existence. Since its launch, Young Sheldon has always achieved good ratings on CBS, placing itself at the top of the American channel’s comedies.
This season 7 of Young Sheldon should follow a 14-year-old Sheldon, who will still be played by Iain Armitage. According to the timeline established in The Big Bang Theory, this is the age at which the young man moves from Medford, Texas to Pasadena, California, in order to begin his career. That same year, his older brother Georgie was to marry for the first time, while his father George died.
Young Sheldon is being broadcast for the first time in France on NRJ12, which broadcast season 5 last May. The first five seasons are already available on Netflix.
