While Threads hasn’t officially launched in Europe yet, many users have already opened their accounts. However, among our readership, few have finally taken the plunge.
After months of preparation, the Meta group finally launched its new social network this week designed to compete with Twitter: Threads by Instagram. If it is based on Instagram, this new application however largely takes over the operation and interface of Twitter, so much so that Elon Musk has already threatened to sue Meta.
For the moment, the application is not yet officially offered within the European Union, and in particular in France. However, this does not, in fact, prevent you from downloading it, whether on Android or iPhone. Worldwide, more than 50 million users have already opened their Threads account, despite the many shortcomings of the social network compared to its main competitor. Gaps that Meta intends to remedy by already announcing the features to come.

In this context, while the success of Threads seems to be set to last, we wanted to know what you thought about it and especially if you were part of the first wave of subscribers.
Reading Threads, one might have the impression that the Frandroid community has landed in force on Meta’s new social network. Yet you are 36.1% to have answered that you did not intend to register on this new platform. However, a large proportion are still hesitating (12.8%) or awaiting an official arrival in France (26.2%). In a few months, the answers could therefore be radically different if the same question is asked.
Be that as it may, you are still 24.9% (a quarter!) to have taken the plunge. It’s not nothing !
