Google continues its offensive on iOS 16 regarding its widgets.
Now it’s YouTube’s turn to be updated, with the availability of two widgets.

Last week, Google rolled out new versions of Maps and Search to iOS 16, and with them, a new batch of widgets. Today, it’s YouTube’s turn to benefit from this same treatment, with two new widgets in addition.
Thus, YouTube enthusiasts will be delighted to learn that they will now be able to hook a 4×2 widget for one-click access to search functions, the Home page, Shorts and their subscriptions. Added to this is another 2×2 type widget that focuses only on research.
To benefit from it, it is obviously essential to have the latest version of YouTube for iOS, namely the 17.40.5 version. The widgets are compatible with the iPhone of course, but also with the iPad.
