After a call from a resident to report a theft in progress, the police found themselves in front of an individual accompanied by a young woman… and a stroller in which a baby was installed, reports The Parisian.
A surprising discovery that did not prevent the police from feeling the thief to find a screwdriver in his possession. In his companion’s handbag, they discover the loot of the burglars: a gold necklace and a watch. The couple and their baby were then taken to the nearest police station.

On the way to the police station, the 17-year-old mother was visibly worried about the fate of her child. She quickly confessed to having committed other burglaries in the vicinity of Meulan-en-Yvelines with a well-established strategy. According to information from the daily, the young woman had to ring the doorbell to ensure the absence of the inhabitants, then her 21-year-old accomplice entered the premises and stole what he could while she waited outside with the baby.

In addition to the jewelry, investigators found another part of the loot, hidden in a forest. Placed in police custody, the couple admitted the facts. The young man was sentenced to 15 months in prison. His companion was transferred to a juvenile judge. The baby was placed with the family.
