According to a statement later read by Mr. Podoliak, Moscow and Kyiv will put in place “humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of the civilian population, as well as for the transport of medicines and food to the areas where the fighting is most violent”. This includes “the possibility of a temporary ceasefire during the evacuation period, in the sectors where it takes place”.

The head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, meanwhile indicated that the talks had focused on humanitarian, military and security issues. “future political settlement of the conflict”. According to him, there is a ” mutual understanding “ on ” some points “.
