You envy everyone who plays Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom since weeks ?

If it’s any relief, everyone who got the game early enjoyed a slightly degraded gaming experience compared to what you expect. Explanations.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is ahead yes, but…

It will not have escaped you, the newat Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, will be officially available tomorrow Friday, May 12, exclusively on Nintendo Switch. For a few days, however, the game has been in the hands of the specialized press… but also of many players who have illegally downloaded a pirated version of the game (on Nintendo Switch or on PC).

So, while for you, the wait is almost over, others have already surveyed for dozens of hours this new Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Infuriating isn’t it? However, the following may bring you some relief.

A saving Day One update?

Indeed, if the game has actually been in the hands of many players for a few days already, you should know that Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was not an example of fluidity. Indeed, the game had serious performance issues, with in particular quite monumental framerate drops at times…

But that was all before Nintendo rolled out a new update to the game, upgrading (a few hours ago) the game to version 1.1.0. A 370 MB update as a “ day one patch therefore, which allows the game to take full advantage of AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution technology.

In fact, AMD’s technology makes it possible to lighten the calculation load of the console. In the image, this translates into a much higher and more stable framerate, with the added bonus of graphics that are gaining in finesse.

The first feedbacks show a very clear difference (with version 1.0.0 of the game), with a more solid resolution, just like the framerate which manages (finally!) to maintain itself at 30 FPS in (almost) all the situations.

Excellent news for all those who will discover the game when it is released, knowing that the update will also be available for download if you buy this Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in physical form. So happy ?
