This Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 6:00 p.m., took place the semi-finals and the grand finale of the Trackmania Cup organized by ZeratoR. This is obviously not the first time that the influencer, whose main activity is carried out on Twitch as a streamer, has offered such an event.
After two years of online competitions, due to COVID, the TMCUP was finally able to take place in the great hall of Bercy in front of an audience of more than 15,000 people. Of course, the event was also live on ZeratoR’s Twitch channel with viewership peaking at around 180,000 spectators.
A TMCUP full of surprises
Like every physical Trackmania Cup event, many challenges are prepared to surprise the spectators but especially the players. This year, the duos in the semi-finals were entitled to the famous device change : instead of playing with their usual peripheral (keyboard, controller, steering wheel) the players had to use a large joystick used to pilot the planes like on Flight Simulator.
The finalists, for their part, were able to compete on a real race track miniature with small remote control cars. And who says final also says Mystery Map! A card that obviously didn’t scare Gwen at all.

Unfortunately, although many spectators had come to cheer on their favourites, Carl Junior and Bren, the latter failed to qualify for the Final. The halves were however very tight and we were able to witness an impressive display of consistency from each of the players. We will remember in particular a monstrous Tjalic who, as in the quarter-finals, was last in the standings throughout to finally achieve a comeback and delay the status of winner of the finalists by finishing first several times.
In the Finals, again rather tight, it will be Gwen and Display who will win the title by validating their winning status almost in a row.
Gwen is now the only Trackmania Cup player to have won all three formats organized by ZeratoR: solo, duo and trio.
The end of the ZrT Trackmania Cup
With this 10th edition at Bercy, Adrien “ZeratoR” Nougaret took the opportunity, at the end of the show, to explain to his audience on site and online that the loop was complete. It was a great adventure, which he could not have started without Nicolas, his sidekick from the ZQSD company, who encouraged him to do the first physical TMCUP at the Grand Rex.
For him, there could not have been a better end than Bercy but that does not mean that he will no longer stream the game or that Trackmania events will no longer be organized.
Congratulations to him and his teams (the Michels) for organizing all these Trackmania events. Next step ? The new edition of Z Event certainly.
