Zway presents swapperTriango+, an electric three-wheeled scooter with interchangeable batteries

After marketing the swapperOne, swapperX and swapperX+, Zeway is presenting swapperTriango+ at the Paris Motor Show, an electric three-wheeled scooter capable of being recharged in less than a minute, according to the manufacturer.

Resolutely urban, the swapperTriango+ is equipped with a 5 kW motor enabling it to reach 80 km/h (only) on the expressway. It is powered by a pair of batteries offering a range of 60 km (only). The particularity of these batteries is that they can be exchanged in one of the 40 stations set up by Zeway with partners such as Monoprix, Esso or BNP Paribas.

The station map is available on the start-up’s website and they are spread over Paris and the inner suburbs.

The contained weight of 106 kilos can however make driving relatively pleasant in an urban environment. Zeway announces a 0 to 45 km/h achieved in 5 s. Three driving modes are available (Eco, Standard and Sport) and a reverse gear helps with manoeuvres. There will also be LED lighting and combined braking. Unfortunately, the batteries take up all the space available under the saddle and you will have to store your personal belongings in a 40 l top box provided.

For the moment, the monthly cost of the subscription has not been announced (there is currently no purchase offer), but it will be significantly higher than that of the SwapperX+, a two-wheeled electric scooter equivalent to 125 of the range, displayed at €149/month.

The Triango+ swapper can be seen on the Mobilians stand at the Paris Motor Show.
