17-year-old at the wheel – three injured after driving alcohol without a license

With more than 0.8 per thousand alcohol in the blood and without driving authorization, a young person (17) drove a car against a transformer station in the Tyrolean Walchsee (Kufstein district) on Saturday night. He and two co-drivers were injured and the transformer station was seriously damaged.

Shortly after midnight, the boy was out and about in the municipality of Walchsee and drove the car in the direction of the village center. He lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a transformer station. He and his two co-drivers (17 and 18 years old) injured themselves. The driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital, the second co-driver independently sought medical treatment. Investigations into the origin of the car are ongoing An alcohol test on a 17-year-old driver showed an alcohol level of more than 0.8 per thousand. He is still in the hospital and, according to the police, has not yet been questioned. It is therefore not yet clear where the car that the young people were traveling in came from. According to the police, however, it should not belong to the parents of the 17-year-old. Both the transformer station and the car were seriously damaged in the accident.
