21 highlights are waiting – Wels Christmas world now attracts visitors with a path of lights

The relief at the green light for Advent markets is huge in Wels. After the “light version” last year, the Christmas world is waiting for you with a new highlight in the truest sense of the word – a tour with 12 new and thus a total of 21 spectacular light motifs.

With the sparkling Ledererturm, the oversized Advent wreath and the approximately six meter high illuminated Christ Child – the tallest in the world – the Wels Christmas world has already set some highlights. But now the Advent market will be richer by 700,000 points of light from November 19th. They bring a total of twelve new motifs to shine, which can be found on a 1.7 kilometer long path of lights in the heart of the city.

“Entrance is required for many similar light parks, which was unthinkable for us,” explains Christmas World boss Peter Jungreithmair. He is absolutely convinced that with the investment of 135,000 euros he will be able to attract even more visitors to Wels.

Because on the way from the ride to the punch hut, a giant squirrel equipped with many LED lamps, a wishing tree, an XXL gift package or motifs belonging to Wels-based companies will make (children’s) eyes shine. A vintage bus is parked on the roof of the bus turntable, a large crane from the Felbermayr company or a pretzel from the Resch & Frisch bakery is parked at Kaiser-Josef-Platz. The path of lights shines until February 2nd (Maria Lichtmess).
