To soften up these two quiet days on your sofa a little, we have decided to offer you three musicals on the Netflix streaming platform that will do you a lot of good, I promise.
"Grease": an iconic duo
John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John will forever remain THE iconic couple of musicals. Grease marked an entire generation when it was released, but also the following ones. John Travolta as the quintessential soft-hearted bad boy and Olivia Newton-John was the archetype of the young girl from good family who, during the course of the film, will emancipate herself and celebrate her femininity. As for the soundtrack of the film, it is still essential today. "You're the one that i want", "Summer Night", "Look at me, i'm Sandra Dee"… Just remembering those songs makes you want to watch the film again!
"Pitch Perfect": the coolest girl band
It's funny, touching and we love to hear them sing a capella. Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and their girlfriends make a super cool gang in Pitch Perfect. These students make us want to join, in turn, a choir to set the stage on fire. Beca's audition scene is still remembered in the film. We also remember having tried to reproduce this performance, in our turn, with a goblet. Unfortunately, the result was not so glorious. So this weekend, we're just going to admire the talent of actress Anna Kendrick. Feel good movie guaranteed!
"Burlesque": grandiose Christina Aguilera
He is one of the most impressive voices in the world. In 2010, the film Burlesque was going out. We discovered Christina Aguilera absolutely grandiose. The film amazed us as the musical scenes were perfectly staged. And to top it off, Christina Aguilera forms a shocking duo with the unmistakable pop music icon Cher. No doubt you'll want to jiggle while watching this movie. So many good vibes in Burlesque!
