Here is an exit from formalin that we no longer thought was possible (or that we had forgotten since its announcement in 2019), and yet: Eddy Murphy will be back in the shoes of Axel Foley for a new film Beverly Hills Cop in a few months on Netflix !
When the name “Eddie Murphy” is mentioned, it’s often a saga Beverly Hills Cop which comes to mind first. Or the donkey Shrek. What do these two works have in common apart from the American actor? Well they will soon be back for new surprise films! Netflix has in any case just revealed a first teaser for Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F., a fourth opus for the license. This will arrive in the summer of 2024, i.e. 40 years after the first, and 30 years after the last.
Netflix takes aim at nostalgia
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. is directed by Mark Molloy. The latter is a newcomer, who also took the place of Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah after their decision to concentrate on the film Batgirlfinally canceled… The official synopsis is as follows: when his daughter’s life (Taylour Paige) is threatened, he teams up with her, with a new recruit (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and with his former comrades Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton) to get the adrenaline pumping and uncover a conspiracy.
Unsurprisingly, a mixture of old faces and newcomers (including Kevin Bacon) will therefore be there. Likewise, we should expect an unbridled cocktail of comedy and action, why not with a little introspection on the passage of time.
Where to watch the movies Beverly Hills Cop in streaming ?
Currently, Netflix is not offering the trilogy Beverly Hills Cop in streaming. To see the first adventures of Axel Foley without going through the purchase or rental box, you will have to go to Paramount+. Remember that it is possible to try the platform for free for 7 days, while the streaming service is also integrated into the myCanal Canal+ Ciné Séries package.

The American service is not the most popular in the world for nothing. With a content offering enriched every week, always optimal video quality and a highly refined user experience, the platform is an essential choice for entertainment.
