44-year-old injured – farmer in Lessach fell seven meters


A 44-year-old local fell from a height of seven meters on Friday morning in Lessach im Lungau. The man was flown to Klagenfurt hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He was busy working on a friend’s construction site at around 9:30 a.m. when he suddenly lost his balance and fell backwards. The man was not secured during the work. The worker was seriously injured on the asphalt. Colleagues immediately alerted the ambulance and the emergency services were quickly on site.

The 44-year-old was flown to the state hospital in Klagenfurt in the emergency doctor’s helicopter “Christophorus 99”. The farmer was seriously injured in the serious fall from a height of seven meters. It has not yet been clarified why the man was working on the construction site without any security.
